Story Behind This Image

I made this and posted it to Reddit to correct this error. The above quote, which is obviously awesome, was erroneously attributed to George Carlin. And while Carlin said many brilliant funny things, so it’s reasonable to assume he might had said this, it isn’t true. Credit should be given where it is due, and Drew Carey gets the credit for this one.

  1. This is a george carlin quote i think. not drew carrey.

  2. oops. just read your little thing 🙂

  3. Yeah, I just stumbled this yesterday and it was a George Carlin quote. Even though I like Carey I’d have to say this more likely something Carlin would say.

  4. Dear KIF,

Do you know how to read the words BELOW the image? Here’s the link so you can read that it’s a CAREY quote, not a Carlin quote.

Jesus Christ stumblers are dumb as nails sometimes.

  5. This was originally a George Carlin joke about twenty years ago. But it doesnt matter who says it. It’s still funny as hell.

  6. Actually you are not giving credit where credit is due..It IS a George Carlin quote not a drew carey quote. You can prolly find the clip where even he says it’s from George and not him. Please stop posting fabricated stories and blatant lies. You should be ashamed of yourself.

  7. bchsideblazer says:

Honestly who the f**k cares who said it

  8. I disagree. I work a minimum wage job and i love it because the most random stuff happens to me. I purchased a replica working electric chair from a customer.

  9. It >IS< a Drew Carey joke. The Wang just watched the episode and heard the exact words last week. Unless you can produce a reference for Carlin, that is not George's joke.

  10. This is a line that Drew Carey said in The Drew Carey Show (season 4, episode 2: “In Ramada Da Vida”). The actual line is “Oh you hate your job? Oh my God, why didn’t you say so? You know there’s a support group for that. It’s called EVERYBODY. They meet at the bar!” And no, it wasn’t stolen from Carlin either; there’s absolutely no evidence that Carlin ever said, let alone first. It doesn’t show up in any of his works.

Why on earth some idiots on the internet insist on attributing the quote to George Carlin, we’ll never know. But I’m sure they frequent the bar.

  11. The problem with the Kobold Lair is that it is supposed to be a low-level adventure and there aren’t many suitable monsters worth more than 1 experience.

  1. […] We are in a pretty interesting place right now in time, the digital age has revolutionised every aspect of our lives. When was the last time you went into a bank to get money? What would you do if you had no mobile phone.. or worse, the Internet broke! People bitch and moan too much, what about a bit of elbow grease and suffering. The people in Egypt revolted against their government to get what they deserved, yet if the fat kid doesn’t get the latest Halo he kills his mum – listen to Drew Carey. […]
